RMM Ōtautahi Welcomes Courtney

Feb 04, 2025
We are excited to welcome Courtney as the newest member of our Ōtautahi studio this week.
Following the completion of her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at Lincoln University in 2024, Courtney is excited to bring her creativity and passion for aesthetic and functional landscapes as she begins her career as a landscape architect.
Connection to the Natural Environment
Growing up in Christchurch with a strong family horticultural background, Courtney has always had a deep connection and appreciation for the natural environment, which led to her commitment to designing sustainable and innovative landscape solutions.
Alongside her studies, Courtney gained practical experience at a local plant nursery assisting with residential landscape plans, where she worked with clients through the entire design process from concept to completion and gained valuable plant and design knowledge.
Final Year Project
Courtney’s final year project at university focused on transforming Lake Ruataniwha in Twizel into an international rowing destination. The project addressed temporal population growth, wellness and recreation whilst showcasing Twizel’s unique character. This project demonstrated her innovation, creativity and commitment to excellence as well as her ability to solve complex design challenges.
Beyond the Studio
Outside of her professional life, Courtney enjoys getting outside and exploring the beautiful landscapes of Aotearoa which allows her to reconnect with nature and gain inspiration for design. She also loves playing sport and you will often find her down at Kerrs Reach rowing or down at the local basketball courts.
Please join us in welcoming Courtney to the RMM team! We can’t wait to see the dedication and fresh perspective that she will bring to our projects.
