RMM Whakatū Welcomes Natarsha
Jun 03, 2026
We're delighted to welcome Natarsha Lamb-Egar to the RMM Whakatū studio as our new Team Lead. Natarsha brings a wealth of experience to the practice, combining technical expertise, strategic thinking and a collaborative leadership style developed over a diverse career spanning New Zealand and Australia.
Academic & Professional Background
Natarsha holds both a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a Master of Landscape Architecture from RMIT University, and is a registered member of both the Australian and New Zealand landscape architecture institutes. Over the past 15 years, she has built extensive experience across landscape architecture, landscape planning and urban design, complemented by a background in project management and production leadership.
Natarsha's portfolio spans transport infrastructure, renewable energy, public open space, ecological restoration, landfill and mine rehabilitation, education and healthcare environments, as well as landscape and visual assessments for some of Australasia’s largest infrastructure projects. Throughout her career, Natarsha has worked with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects that balance technical requirements with meaningful environmental and community outcomes.
Design & Leadership Approach
Natarsha is a strong advocate for collaborative design and believes the best outcomes emerge when clients, stakeholders and project teams work closely together. Her approach is grounded in listening, building trusted relationships and ensuring diverse perspectives are considered throughout the design process.
With particular expertise in landscape and visual assessment, urban design integration and environmental rehabilitation, Natarsha enjoys solving complex challenges through thoughtful, evidence-based design. She is passionate about creating functional and sustainable landscapes that respond to their surroundings while enhancing the experiences of the communities that use them.
Beyond the Studio
When she's not leading projects, Natarsha enjoys sharing good food and good company around the dinner table. She also spends plenty of time outdoors, either walking with her Labrador, Maestro, or exploring the hills around Whakatū by mountain bike. With a passion for adventure and the natural environment, Nelson has been a natural fit.
