Late last year, the Tāmaki Makaurau Studio welcomed Rebecca Freeman to the RMM team.

Since joining, Rebecca has hit the ground running, bringing both strong design capability and a great energy to the studio and we couldn’t be happier to have her on board.

Academic & Professional Journey
Rebecca completed her Master’s in Landscape Architecture at Victoria University of Wellington in 2018. She began her career in Aotearoa before heading overseas to London, where she gained valuable international experience, returning home in 2025.

Design Interests
Rebecca’s work is grounded in a long-standing interest in how public spaces influence behaviour and social interaction. She particularly enjoys the collaborative nature of landscape architecture, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to solve design challenges, from early visioning through to the refinement of detail.

Beyond the Studio
Outside of work, Rebecca is a keen cook and adventurer, having travelled extensively. Like many of us at RMM, she enjoys spending time outdoors, with a particular fondness for the beach.
