Janine joins our Nelson team

Welcome, Janine, to our Nelson studio.
After studying horticulture at Lincoln University, Janine spent 2 ½ years working alongside architects to develop a landscape garden for a large residential project. This experience forged a curiosity about the relationship between built form and landscape. Travel further stimulated this interest, and a chance visit to the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture studio in St. Ives, Cornwall, provided an epiphany that Landscape architecture could be the next step.
Following graduating in 1993 from RMIT Melbourne, with two years as a visiting scholar at the University of Minnesota USA, Janine had the unique opportunity to work in the office of Dan Kiley in Vermont for three years.
Janine has spent the past 22 years in Nelson, where she lives with her two children. She can be found spending time in the garden and with her horses in her spare time.
