Get to Know Rory Langbridge: RMM's New Whakatū Studio Team Lead

Rory Langbridge joined RMM in April 2022 to establish and lead our new Whakatū Nelson studio. With over 28 years of experience as a Landscape Architect, Rory brings a wealth of expertise to our team. Based in Nelson for the past 22 years, Rory has made significant contributions to landscape architecture across New Zealand and internationally.
Before joining RMM, Rory served as the principal owner of Rory Langbridge Landscape Architects in Christchurch, where he worked on diverse projects spanning Christchurch, Queenstown, and various locations throughout both the North and South Islands. His career also includes a pivotal role as the principal landscape architect for the City of Cape Town, South Africa, highlighting his extensive international experience.
Rory's professional capabilities encompass all facets of landscape architecture, from site planning and detailed design to the preparation of landscape and visual assessments. His approach is characterized by a deep understanding of environmental stewardship and community engagement, ensuring projects are not only aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally sustainable.
Outside of work, Rory enjoys indulging in Nelson's vibrant culture. You can often find him at The Freehouse, savouring the local craft beers, or on the golf course, pursuing his passion for the sport.
