On Friday, 28th July, the Tāmaki Makaurau studio proudly participated in a volunteer sea cleanup day with Sea Cleaners, a dedicated organization committed to removing rubbish from New Zealand’s coastal and water environments.

A Day of Impact
The team joined forces with Sea Cleaners, an organization that has been tirelessly working since 2002 to combat marine pollution. Sea Cleaners focuses on educating communities about the importance of protecting our waterways while actively removing debris from the sea. To date, they have removed millions of liters of rubbish from New Zealand's waters, making a significant impact on the health of our marine ecosystems.

Our Contribution
Armed with gloves, bags, and a lot of enthusiasm, our team members set out to clear as much litter as possible from the coastline. The cleanup not only involved picking up visible trash but also removing smaller plastic pieces that pose significant threats to marine life. This hands-on experience highlighted the urgent need to keep our oceans clean and the direct impact our actions can have on the environment.

A Worthy Cause
Participating in this cleanup was a reminder of the importance of community involvement in environmental conservation. It was an incredibly rewarding experience, and we are proud to have contributed to such a worthy cause. Every piece of rubbish collected is one less hazard for marine life and one step closer to healthier oceans.

We encourage everyone to learn more about Sea Cleaners and consider volunteering or supporting their initiatives. Small actions can lead to significant changes, and together, we can help preserve the beauty and health of our oceans.
