While the Christchurch studio were waking up to alarm clocks at 4:30am in the wake of their fishing escapade to Kaikoura, our Wanaka team were adopting a more leisurely approach. The day started with a cooked breakfast before heading to Cardrona...aka 'Cardies' for their annual ski day.

Many runs were had with little to no queues and Gerard putting on a masterclass of sub-2-minute runs that kept Brooke on his toes. When the snow starting falling and visibility was limited, an executive decision was made to head to the Cardrona Pub early for refreshments in front of the roaring outdoor fire.

With time to spare Wendy suggested heading to 'Crossfire, Wanaka' where everyone enjoyed the driving range and some claybird shooting.

The day was topped off by settling into a wonderful meal, a few gins and a debrief of the day around Wendy's roaring 'Hooga' fire.
