Ben Taylor brings over 13 years of diverse experience in landscape architecture to RMM Landscape Architects, having worked in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
His career began with RMM in Christchurch in 2007 as a graduate landscape architect. After gaining invaluable experience in New Zealand, Ben embarked on his 'Big OE' to the UK, where he primarily worked on inner-city developments in London, contributing to the build-up to the 2012 Olympic Games.
Upon returning to New Zealand in 2013, Ben rejoined RMM in 2018, leading the establishment of the Auckland studio. His leadership and vision were instrumental in the studio's growth and success. In 2021, Ben relocated to Christchurch, where he continues to lead a variety of private and public realm projects across Aotearoa.
Ben's expertise spans the full spectrum of landscape architecture. He has extensive experience in design, construction documentation, landscape and visual assessment, and contract observation and administration. His portfolio includes a wide range of complex projects, from recreational reserves, coastal walkways, and play spaces to high-density residential developments, social housing, retirement villages, and educational and healthcare facilities. Ben's ability to manage and deliver such diverse projects demonstrates his versatility and comprehensive skill set.
