Nicholas Fortier
Staff Nicholas
Landscape Architect BLA (Hons) Auckland
Nicholas joined the RMM Auckland team in January 2021 after completing his Landscape Architecture studies at Unitec in 2020. He was a student representative on the NZILA Auckland Branch for 3 years organising student’s attendances to local events. Nicholas was a part of the team for the 2019 Unitec publication of Xsection Redefinition.

Through studying Nicholas has gained a passion for creating functional landscape spaces that can evolve and grow over time with strong connections to the surrounding ecologies and cultural narratives. In a final year project using those ideas Nicholas attempted to deconstruct a current Auckland suburban streetscape to integrate natural past ecologies with a new pedestrian focused street. He is excited about continuing to learn and gain experience with RMM.

In his spare time Nicholas enjoys exploring new locations by whatever means necessary (on water, legs or wheels), drawing, photography and learning new skills.
